We started out looking at those pre-manufactured houses and after investigation and some simple addition we quickly found out that we were not going to save any money and moreover we were not satisfied with not being able to get our dream house. Initially considering selecting cheaper windows doors and flooring Ben sat down with us and explained the potential problems we might have with that type of construction. And Ben said he would rather us choose another builder than sacrifice his name and reputation to build a lower quality home than one that would make us happy. Our experience was grand. After looking at and considering several tract builders we got the feeling that our proposed house would look nothing like the model and have lesser quality cabinets and bath fixtures. They really pretty up those models to lure you in and promise you the world. Once we talked to Bens previous new home customers we felt comfortable that he was going to do what he said with no hidden stuff or hanky panky. We are completely happy with Ben and Highland Homes with his quality of materials and workmanship we built another home for our son with him. He was there every step of the way and we are happy and content and can enjoy our new home worry free.

Ben saved us thousands of dollars and we got two hundred and fifty more square feet with Ben’s special designed home just for us. We wanted a special bath shower combo we saw in a picture and Ben redesigned the plan to make it work. As far as cutting corners on materials and labor he just would not let us do it and we are so glad he did not. You know the banker said if we had gone with the mass produced home builder he might not have been able to finance the whole thing because of the short appraisal value. We are truly happy with Ben and Highland Homes and will recommend that all people get a new home from him. I am proud to be home every evening.

He said he wanted a special mix with more cement and less sand. He explained that it would be stronger, prevent any foundation cracking and water leaks and then he would have no problems and the home owner would be completely satisfied. So no we have a special mix and an agreement of quality. Glad to know and do business with such a forthright honest builder.
Over ten years Ben came to me to do the plumbing work on a new home he was building and said we will not use cheap fixtures for anything. He instructed me that all of my plumbing had to be the best to prevent any problems and if it cost a little more.
